Karachi, 25 Feb 2016 : DHA Karachi provided land for establishment of a Cancer Hospital and Research Centre for the people of Karachi. Cancer Hospital will be established at DHA City Karachi (DCK) in collaboration with Shaukat Khanum Memorial Trust (SKMT). A memorandum of Understanding was signed between administration of DHA City Karachi and SKMT on Wednesday afternoon.

Speaking on the occasion the Administrator DHA Karachi, Brig Zubair Ahmed said that establishment of SKMT Cancer Hospital in DCK is indeed a gift to the people of Karachi and a great service to humanity. He also said that the state-of-the-art cancer treatment facility is reflection of the trust of people in the institution and administration of DHA.

Speaking on the occasion CEO of SKMT Dr Faisal Sultan said that the cancer hospital being established at DCK will be the most advanced and modern cancer treatment facility that will have the biggest Oncology Centre in the country and state-of-the-art chemotherapy and radiation treatment centres. He added that the location of Cancer Hospital at DCK is best suited for the needy people from both the provinces of Sindh and Balochistan.

People from all walks of life who had gathered to attend the ceremony appreciated the establishment of the Cancer Hospital at DHA City Karachi and termed it a milestone for modern medical treatment for cure of Cancer patients.
