Karachi, 16 Sep 2017: A meeting chaired by Administrator DHA Brig Shahid Hassan Ali was held at Defence Authority Sunset Club to review the progress of the ongoing development projects in DHA City Karachi (DCK) and to devise a strategy for giving a further boost to versatile development activities in DCK. The meeting attended by PD DCK, concerned DCK officials, consultant and stake holders also discussed future interventions to be made in DHA City to make it a truly sustainable city of international stature.

Administrator gave prompt and pragmatic decisions to maintain the momentum of development spree in DCK and to pave the way for smooth launching of futuristic projects in DHA City. The meeting decided to adopt a dynamic vertical development strategy in DCK to accelerate construction activities in the upcoming city. Administrator also approved formation of a Projects Implementation Board headed by Administrator DHA to monitor and facilitate uninterrupted development in DCK.

The meeting reviewed strategic projects of significance to be in initiated in collaboration with Sindh government in DCK pertaining to energy, communication, healthcare and education etc that will tremendously add to the viability and stature of DHA City. Administrator directed DCK management to further enhance contacts, understanding and co-operation with the provincial government officials for early initiation of planned projects that will bring revolutionary changes in DCK. He also asked DCK management to encourage and facilitate Dow University of Health Sciences to expeditiously establish their nucleus medical and healthcare setup in DHA City.

The meeting discussed the proposals and broader conceptual vision of an oil marketing firm for establishing petrol pumps in DHA City as well as contributing to DCK social development by initiating welfare and educational projects in DHA City for community betterment and wellbeing. Administrator asked the DCK management and stakeholders to leave no stone unturned in encouraging and facilitating national and international institutions/organizations of repute to invest in DCK for making it a livable city with availability of best amenities and facilities.
