DG W&R VISITS DHA CITY KARACHI

dg-w-r-visits-dha-city-karachi1Karachi, 23 Sep 2017: Director General Welfare and Rehabilitation (W&R) GHQ Maj Gen Muhammad Humayun Saleem alongwith Administrator DHA Brig Shahid Hassan Ali visited the upcoming DHA City Karachi (DCK) project on Super Highway. They visited various development sites and saw the fast track development works going on in the area with institutionalized strength and progressive strategy to make DCK a unique city of international stature.
DG W&R was given a detailed briefing on master plan, development strategy, futuristic projects and progress of development by PD DCK Brig Muhammad Rafique (Retd) and consultant Arif Osmani. DG termed the efficacy, futuristic vision and pace of development of DCK as reassuring and impressive in its essence.
The General Officer visited the iconic Farm Houses site in DCK Sector-1 where four state-of-the-art Farm Houses have been completed and 121 Farm Houses are in advanced stage of completion. DG praised the quality, design and elegance of Farm Houses. He also visited DCK Junior School in Sector-3 which is equipped with all modern educational facilities and has started functioning. DG said that the school served as a beacon of light for spread of quality education in the area.
Director General also visited the mini golf course park in DCK Sector-13 which is manifest of horticultural efforts going on in DCK to provide best healthy and aesthetic living environment to residents. He went to Sector-14 of DCK where comprehensive infrastructure work was in full swing. In this sector, exclusive land for allotment to valiant soldiers and JCOs engaged in defence of the motherland has also been allocated.
After a hectic day long visit, DG returned highly satisfied with the dynamic fast pace development activities going on in DHA City. He asked DCK management to leave no stone unturned to make DHA City livable at the earliest. He remarked that DCK venture has all the potential to provide an ambience of modern, secure and comfortable living to its residents.
